As an authorised Coaching On the Go™ co-pilot, I work with individuals, teams and groups to build collaborative leadership skills through applying the Coaching On the Go methodology and the insights generated from the unique GIZMO tool and skills report. I regularly run open-to-all introductory sessions and deep-dive group programmes as well as working with organisations to embed coaching skills within their teams.
What is Coaching On the Go?
Based on the research and practice of Dr Phil Renshaw and Dr Jenny Robinson, Coaching On the Go (COTG) is a unique and innovative approach to developing coaching skills as part of a managerial and leadership toolkit - to improve the positive impact that participants have on others.
Importantly, you are not being taught to coach, rather you are learning how to use the skills of coaching as part of what you already do. Key principles underpinning the approach are that:
Everyone’s a leader - to push ahead we need to pull together
The best leaders coach - they raise others up
Leaders-who-coach use everyday situations to harness energy and ideas
Leaders-who-coach need to know what skills to use and when, in small bite size chunks
This free interactive workshop will introduce you to the Coaching On the Go™ (COTG) approach to developing coaching skills as part of your managerial and leadership toolkit. Participants will learn about collaborative leadership and be able to identify the key behaviours of being a leader-who-coaches so that they can integrate coaching skills into their everyday work. It will cover:
Reframing leadership. Leadership is collaborative, messy and everyone is involved
What do the best bosses do? How coaching is woven into leadership
The 15 behavioural dimensions of a leader-who-coaches
This is an introduction for anyone at any role level or career stage who wishes to develop their leadership through the use of coaching skills.
After attending an introductory session, participants will have preferential access to our next deep dive programme where you can join with a cohort of others who, like you, want to make a more positive impact through being a leader-who-coaches.
Starting in January 2026 (dates and times to be confirmed), you can join with a cohort of others who, like you, want to make a more positive impact through being a leader-who-coaches.
Each programme participant receives a personalised report on their own coaching behaviours alongside workshops and group support for developing and practicing their coaching skills.
The programme includes:
Access to the GIZMO tool to complete your self-assessment
A personalised COTG skills report
Three group workshops to go deeper into what it means to be a leader-who-coaches, explore your skills report, identify coaching behaviours you want to enhance
The cost for participating in the full programme is as set out below*.
£150 - Individuals self-funding and earning less than £65k annually
£250 - Rate where your organisation pays or individuals self-funding earning more than £65k annually.
*this does not include the COTG book, which can be purchased from facilitators (£12) or via Amazon (£17)
You will be joining professionals from multiple industry areas, including those in the Diversity & Inclusion space, entrepreneurs, and those at mid-career level looking to progress. Cohorts are capped at 16 to provide a focused community in which to learn and be challenged together and to support one another. As we are providing flexibility around workshop day and time options there may be some crossover between cohorts in some sessions.
The GIZMO tool assessment analyses behaviour and activity, taking account of everyday situations and day-to-day conversations. It produces a personalized skills profile which delivers key insight data across 15 leadership dimensions, or categories.
This skills report provides an assessment of what a person actually does and offers a personalised development plan that can be followed step by step over the course of the programme and beyond.
